Tips: Major parameters of signal relay

  • Nominal voltage: It is the voltage required by the coil when the signal relay is in normal operation.
  • Direct current resistance: It is DC resistance of the coil in the relay, which can be measured with a multimeter.
  • Pull-in current: It is the minimum current at which a relay can produce a pull operation. In normal use, the given current must be slightly greater than the pull-in current for the signal relay to operate stably. The operating voltage of the coil do not exceed 1.5 times of the rated working voltage, otherwise it will produce a large current and burn the coil.
  • Release current: It refers to the maximum current generated by the release action of the signal relay. When the current in the pull-in state of the relay decreases to a certain extent, the relay will return to the release state. The current at this point is much less than the pull-in current.
  • Switching voltage and current of contact: They mean the voltage and current allowed to be loaded by the signal relay, which determines the size of the voltage and current that the relay can control, and cannot exceed specified value when using, otherwise it is easy to damage the contact of the relay.
