Description
Arc Reduced Base Weld Studs are used when there is a need to contain the fillet diameter within the major diameter of the thread.
Material: Low carbon steel, Nickel plated
Length: Length is before weld. Stud diameters ½” and below will be approximately 1/8” shorter after welding. 5/8” to ¾” diameters will be approximately 3/16” shorter after welding.
Thread: Standard UNC2A
Ferrules: Includes required Reduced Base (F-106) ceramic ferrules (insulators)
Flux: Solid Fluxed
Mechanical Properties (as cold drawn):
- Tensile: 55,000 psi min
- Reduction in Area: 50% Min
