Tips: How to Read Oil Tank Gauge Tape?

• Unroll the tape measure completely and hold it by the metal tab at the end.
• Lower the tape measure into the tank until it touches the bottom.
• Slowly and carefully withdraw the tape while keeping it straight and level.
• Observe the markings on the tape as you pull it out, which indicate the oil level in inches or centimeters. Take note of the highest oil level reached by the tape.
• Compare the recorded measurement to the tank’s capacity to determine the remaining oil quantity.
